Monday Night Musings

Well, I'm officially done nursing and it's bittersweet. I just wasn't makin enough and couldn't' get that little boy to nurse on my left side so it barely made an ounce. He downs 6 ounces of formula almost every 3 hours and I was not even coming close to making that in my right side.

He's still not sleeping through the night, but he does have longer stretches every now and then. It seems most of the time it's every 3 hours on the DOT though!! I've enlisted my hubbies help because I was starting to go a little crazy.

We didn't make a Thanksgiving meal this year, but I sort of regret it. We went out to eat with the Crowe family to Cracker Barrel, and while the food was decent, it didn't even come close to what we could have produced. Although, their green beans were pretty dang good and I HATE green beans.

I'm having a tough time feeling comfortable in my ward. I guess I haven't felt totally welcomed yet. If I weren't a strong member to begin with, I think it'd be easy to get lost.

Can't wait for December 21st. This is the day we head out to Cali for Christmas with the Stoddards! SO excited!!!

So i really want to start getting into couponing (not a real word, I know), but it seems so overwhelming and I don't know anything about it. Someone tried to explain it to me, but it seriously went over my head. Any of you out there know how it all works. I totally want to become one of those Extreme couponers from TLC...seriously. hahah!

I have a lot of great pictures and videos that need to be shared so I will get on that asap

I'm very much a beginning couponer, but what I do is look through the coupons from the Daily Herald (my mom gets it) and clip the ones I think I'll use. I take my coupons to Walmart on Tuesdays. They double coupons that are under $1. They also price match other ads, and you don't even need to bring the ad in. So I also go through other grocery store ads and make a list of their good deals. I also make a list of the coupons I'm going to use to make shopping faster.

Oh and I have been wanting to get into couponing as well, but it seems so overwhelming.

I'm sorry the nursing didn't work out but i'm glad that you and your son are healthy and doing well. (I always make my hubby help in the night with the kids- I 'work' full time too!)

I'm a big couponer =o) I'll have this months savings up on my blog tomorrow: http://fromonemommatoanother.blogspot.com/

Feel free to ask me questions.

Bummer on the nursing, but on the positive side, bottles are much more convenient...I'm still giving eliza a bottle before she goes to sleep and shes 15 months no way I couldve nursed that long I mean she had a mouth full of teeth:)

I'm also a big couponer. We are talking about 48-50% savings here! I use babesonbudgets.com but the resource for coupon to ad matching is grocerysmart. (theres even an app I have on my phone). The best deals come when you match a sale to a coupon. Oh and at walmart, only utah county doubles theirs on tuesdays. Unfortunately mine does not in sl county.

Kjell,Can't wait to see you too! When you find out how to coupon maybe you can teach your mom and I how to do it?
